Almost alcoholic?

Interesting article from the BBC which discusses the loaded label which is 'alcoholic' and at what point does problem drinking become alcoholism. As Tim Leighton, from Action on Addiction explains in the article, 'alcoholic' is a very narrow term:

"You are either one or you are not...This is why some people prefer the term 'alcohol dependence'. You can be an alcoholic without drinking too much - it is all about dependence, about losing control."
